13 yr old steals credit card from father but has better things

By JD Theis

Somebody should tell Senator Jon Kyl (Arizona Repuplican) who along with a few friends pushed the Unlawful Internet Gaming and Enforcement Act through congress to law riding on a bill about homeland security (which after 911 almost any of these are sure to pass) on the last day of the session when most of the potential voters had already gone home, that if he truly was worried about the reason he used for pushing this law through: to prevent children from stealing their parent's credit cards for the purpose of funding online gambling endeavors (unless they wanted to bet on the horses or the lotteries, they are still okay ... no small coincidence they are both gambling entities located in the states and very visible in DC), that he needn't have bothered to take away yet another freedom of the American people. That simply isn't the way kids think when it comes to stealing a credit card. They have other things in mind and young Ralph Hardy of Newark Texas is living proof of such matters.

It seems young Ralph liberated his father's credit card but gambling with it never entered his mind. He had other ideas that according to Money.co.uk, included buying an all night visit from two local call girls who along with the cost of an amazing amount of Dr Pepper, Fritos and Oreos ... plus several electronic gadgets, an Xbox video console with a heap of games (the hookers were paid to play video games with the boys) and $3000 cash, came to a total on Dad's card of over $30,000. In hindsight the kids getting ahold of a card and going online gambling may not be the worst thing that could happen.

If it can be said there is a comical side to this situation (aside from the whole incident which I'm certain the parents of the boys involved do not think is funny) it would be the way the boys convinced the hookers to stay. They were going to leave because the boy's age was so obvious but the boys countered with the story that they were people of stunted development who were traveling with a circus. They pointed out that state law prevents disabled workers to be discriminated against, therefore the hookers could not refuse their services.

No charges were filed against the "ladies" since all they did was to play video games with the boys. Watch out Senator Kyl, you may be able to sell an unenforcable law to a bunch of absent politicians about the dangers of online gambling while leaving out the gambling entities of which are known to be very powerful in the campaign contribution department in Washington, namely the horse racing industry,... but if young Ralph's current ability to put a twist on things to turn them to his advantage, is any indication of what is to come when he matures ... he may just have the makings of what it would take to fill your shoes, sir.

Player loses seventeen thousand dollars because of identity theft

By Steve Briggs

A player who had over thirty thousand dollars in an online sport book (BetCris) was horrified to discover after logging into his account some two month's later, that someone had taken about twenty thousand out of the account. Since this person is also a gambling guide of sorts (he's a poker guide), he knew to contact support immediately and change the password to the account. He was then asked to send proof of identity documents to their customer service manager. The player-victim was told the account was now locked and that no further changes would be possible until the matter was resolved. He was told to contact BetCris the following day to address the issue in its entirety.

The player-victim was shocked to see the next day when he logged back into the account that once again someone had been placing bets using the account. He immediately contacted the support manager who was handling his case and asked how this could be possible when he was told the account was locked and no further bets would be allowed until the matter was resolved. The reply was as shocking to this writer as I'm certain was the shock of seeing the account had once again been compromised. He was told by the support manager that he had no idea how this was possible because he had made multiple notes on the account to not allow any further action. The support manager went on to say that he had tracked down the culprit along with the IP address and phone number etc.

When asked to supply a timeline of the incident the player-victim supplied this list. The ID sent to BetCris was issued on the eleventh of May, just a day before the matter occured, and was valid only until the fifteenth of May. There is no way anyone else could have had that valid ID, so how could BetCris make the claim they had two people sending valid ID for the same account? He was told his account was locked until the matter had been resolved yet the thief was able to call in and have the account unlocked using no more information than was used to originally gain access. Not only that but the support team gave out the new password to the thief or he'd never have been able to access the account even if he had been able to get the account unlocked (which he was successful). The thief was given this information while the support manager was on the other phone with the player-victim no less! On top of all that the money in the account was suppose to be tied up into a bonus scheme that required there be a play-through of over $200,000 which he was aware and had no complaints about it. In fact this as it turns out is a big red flag about the whole mess. What sport book allows you to transfer money out of their establishment before you've met the bonus terms? Answer to that is none that I am aware, at least not until now. Frankly I doubt you or I could get away with that kind of behavior so it really makes one wonder about how this money was allowed to be released? The money went to another sportbook called Rio sportbook. The player-victim had never heard of this place before now and therefore certainly did not transfer money to it.

At the time of this writing BetCris has seemingly washed their hands of the matter despite continued pressure from this writer and several other gambling guides who along with my self warned BetCris to step up and do the right thing or we'd be writing about the matter but to no avail. What this writer has taken away from this whole fiasco is to be sure to find out from any sport book or casino if they allow money transfers to other casinos or sport books? That seemingly is the only way I can see a thief having the opportunity to get their hands on your money is by transfering the money to another establishment where the thief had created an account using the victim's name and their method of withdrawal. So for instance the thief would add his/her NETeller account as a deposit/withdrawal method and then they could after transferring the money be able to get it into someplace where they can actually get their hands on it.

Poker Tournament Strategies

By PokerMan Dan

If a poker player chooses to play in a tournament at a live poker room, or even online the player must realize that everyone playing in this tournament will have some strategies and some skills that can be very close to the professional level. No one who plays poker plans on losing.

A player who develops a great poker skill set and combines that with sound poker strategies will be able to elevate his game from one that loses to a profitable one. Using a good strategy the average poker player will be able to gain some sort of advantage against the other players seated at the tournament table.

While poker playing has hundreds if not thousands of play styles there really are only two main styles of play. These would be aggressive and conservative. When first seated at a poker tournament you will notice that most players tend to be on the aggressive side. If this is indeed the case it might be better to sit back and let the other players go at it for awhile.

The reason that a lot of poker players take an aggressive stance to begin with is that they believe that they will be able to garner a good amount of chips right away from the start of the tournament and then they can switch gears and become conservative and ride out their stack until they are able to get to the money. While this may seem like a good strategy to try to employ it is very flawed in that when everyone at the table is aggressive there is no one to push around at all.

One way that some players will play to always be after the flop if they are in the hand. This gives the player that bet the hand control throughout the rest of the hand. The other players must then be on the defensive and figure out what the aggressive player might be holding or thinking. If the player betting the flop bets a large enough amount they may be able to take down a fair amount of chips without ever hold a good hand.

Another way to play poker tournaments is to be a passive player. The passive player will sit back and let the other players duke it out with each other and carefully choose the times when to get involved and make moves. Using this style will let this type of player study and learn from his opponents at the table.

Regardless of what base style you choose to play when playing in a poker tournament it is very important to be able to change up your strategy and adapt to the strategies and skills employed by the other players at the table. Most of all work out a poker strategy that suits your strongest poker skill set and stick with it.

Advantage of playing Blackjack on line

By Steve Briggs

The advantage of playing blackjack on line starts with the speed of the game. Even using speed shufflers there is no way traditional blackjack tables can offer the speed of the games played on line. It takes time to go around and gather in cards, pay the winners and take from the losers. The average blackjack table in Vegas has at least three players sitting and needing the attention of the dealer so you can multiply that down time by three or more. Online casino games have no time spent on other people unless you've chosen to play at a multi-player table in which case there is a slight down time allowed per player to make their wagering decision but it is in no way as slow as playing at a game in Vegas.

You always get a fair-odds hand when playing on line because the shoe is shuffled after every hand meaning you'll never sit down in the middle of a shoe which is heavy with cards that are not benefical to the player. For each deck in a virtual shoe there will be four aces, four kings and so on for every hand played.

While on the subject of fair-odds and shuffling the shoe it should be noted for card counters that they are the only ones which do not stand to benefit from playing blackjack on line other than for sharpening their skills for the next trip to the riverboat or Vegas. The reason that playing on line is not going to work for card counters is because it is impossible to get an edge if the shoe is shuffled after every hand. They cannot get deep enough into the shoe to get an idea whether the game is heavy with cards that are going to hurt the player or cards that help greatly, those being any card worth ten. The rest of the world actually gets the advantage of always starting with a fair-odds shoe and ending it the same way. While it is true that the shoe will never be heavy with beneficial cards it will never be the opposite either and if you are not counting cards then by playing on line you are assuring yourself the first hand is as fair as if you'd just sat down at a table in Vegas with a fresh shoe coming out, and you are assured your last hand will be the same, and not that you might have left a game in mid-shoe that had already endured most of the bad cards and was now rich with good cards ... only you'd already left before the good part happened.

The variety of games compared to Vegas or Atlantic City isn't really a comparison. That's saying quite a bit considering that those two cities blow away most any place when it comes to gambling. However it is true. Some online casinos powered by Microgaming software offer as many as fifty versions of blackjack including the game called "faces up" where you are shown both dealer's cards but of course you give up a little to get a little and part of this deal is you don't get paid time and a half for a blackjack. Most Vegas casinos don't even have fifty tables open at one time, let alone fifty different versions all with no waiting to get a seat.

One last advantage to playing blackjack on line is the online casinos allow you to play for free which means even those who don't trust playing on line can still use it as an excellent tool to sharpen their game and not have all that down time of a real table. You might be surprised to find you've crossed a line where the thought of driving to the local casino and having to search for a table with your stakes and an open chair ... is too much trouble for someone who can sit down at their PC and be playing in seconds. Where you can if having a bad day simply shut down the casino and do something else ... which means you also have the option to go back and play when you feel your luck is better ... and not have to waste all that time driving and finding a table and waiting for everybody else to change their cash to chips etc, in order to find out if your luck is good or bad.

Progressive slot games having a positive expectation value

By Steve Briggs

Its true! Progressive slot games do at times have a positive expectation value on what you are gambling to win them. Many people are unaware of this fact but not everybody. There are actually professional slot machine game players which form into teams and they watch the progressive games for them to reach a level of payout where it becomes a business of spending low to sell high, so to speak. These teams work as packs and they prey on the positive expectation value of a progressive slot game which has few enough individual machines involved in the progressive scheme that they can as a pack attack it from all angles meaning they try to monopolize the games by placing a team member in each seat of every machine involved in the payout.

Progressive games at online casinos have brought the idea of this popular type of games of chance into new levels of payouts. Slot machine games that tie in so many different machines from so many different casinos that these games are actually paying out millions of dollars on a daily or near-daily basis. Many progressive games here at the local riverboats where I am located seem to hover around the five figures neighborhood at best but they admittedly do have many fewer machines contributing than could ever compete with the kind of numbers found at online casinos.

Which means to you as a player that unless you are a member of a professional slot machine team then you have the good news of not only being able to get to a machine to play when there is a positive expectation value (when they reach that level) but also that when you win its going to be for a lot more money ... and of course the jackpots pay out a lot more often than do those at land casinos (for the most part, there may be some that do not).

Players of online casino progressive slot games will never be able to monopolize their games the way the professional teams do in Las Vegas or Atlantic City but on the other hand for the majority of us ... we are not professional slot teams so that effects us zero percent but now we're now not going to be pushed out of the opportunity to hit one of these jackpots which is going to be a nice change of pace. Those that play the online progressive slot games with a positive expectation value will just have to hope they get lucky like everyone else because there is no way they are going to monopolize the games. Which by the way the most recent really big win on a progressive online game was on the slot machine called "Mega-Moolah" powered by Microgaming software, the leader in the online gambling industry. This progressive slot game paid a man in Finland an outstanding five and a half million dollars. This is just one of several online progressive slot games to have paid out over one million dollars.

While many people focus on just getting a Caribbean job, the Caribbean islands and where you live are also an important factor. In addition to the Cayman Islands and Bermuda, there are several islands, both small and large, like Aruba, Barbados, Belize, St Lucia, and Turks and Caicos. You can also find jobs in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic.

If you can you should take a trip to the Caribbean before accepting a job offer. You will be able to get a good idea as to what island life is like. Try to get interviews on the island, this is a good way to actually familiarize yourself with the place you may end up living in.

The more time that you have to look the more you will be able to get done when researching possible employment opportunities in the Caribbean. Beware though, the competition is understandably fierce and you should be prepared for a long wait!

Learning to Play Poker in Minutes

By PokerMan Dan

Depending on which poker game you are playing at the time the rules can change a bit from game to game. The rules will not change the strength or weakness of each poker hand though. There are a few unpopular variations of poker that consider the lowest hand to be the highest, but these games are very unpopular and not played by many.

One someone decides that they want to learn how to play poker they need to make sure that they understand the deck of cards that is going to be used to play poker with. All poker decks will have 4 different suits in the deck. All of these different suits will have some kind of numerical value on it. The numerical values will be queen, king, jack, ace, and the numbered cards 2 through ten.

Once you start playing poker you will see that it is relatively similar to most other card games. That your ultimate goal is to combine the cards that you hold in your hand to make the best possible hand. Of course in other card games different hands have different strengths than in poker, but it is the same basic concept. The poker hand strength list is as follows.

The Royal Flush: This is the top hand in poker. It is unbeatable, and because it is so good it is very hard to draw. Some of the best poker players in the world have been playing for decades and still have not gotten dealt one. This hand is ten through ace all of the same suit.

Straight Flush: This hand differs from the royal in that the cards need not be in numerical order 10 through the ace. The cards do need to be five cards in sequential order and all of the same suit. This is another very strong hand, and being so it is also very hard to draw to. It is only beaten by a royal flush and of course a straight flush that is higher.

The Full House: This hand consists of 5 cards. Three of one numerical value, and two other matching numerical value cards. A example would be seven, seven, seven, two and two. This hand is one of the top value hands and is not beaten by much. It can only be topped by a straight flush, higher full house, and a royal flush.

Straight: This hand has 5 cards that are in numerical order. They do not have to be of any particular suit. One example of this would be 9 of hearts, 10 of diamonds, jack of spades, queen of clubs, and king of spades. If two players both hold straights the winner is determined by whose straight holds the highest numbered card.

The Flush: The flush is a pretty good hand in poker. This hand has 5 cards that have any number value and all have the same suit. If two players were to both be holding a flush at the same time the winner of the hand would be determined by whose flush has the highest card in it.

Three of a kind: This hand is also referred to by poker players as trips or a set. This hand is pretty straight forward in that it consists of three cards consisting of the same numerical value.

Poker Pro Tips

By PokerMan Dan

One set of poker strategies will not work for all players.

A successful poker strategy can be affected by quite a few different things. A few of these points will be listed here.

An important idea to keep in mind that poker is a game that involves a large amount of psychological maneuvering and skill to win big pots consistently .

It's not only your play that is important, you also need to be able to get inside of the players heads to get an even further advantage over them.

You must also adopt a good mindset when playing poker. Completely abandon the idea that poker is an easy game and that you will be able to make money from the get go. If this was the case everyone would play and everyone would make money playing poker.

Psychology in poker encompasses many areas. Some key points to focus on would be other players with nervous twitches, having and idea of what other players are thinking, noticing another player has a shaken voice.

Without a burning desire to succeed at poker, you probably will not. This desire is very important because it will lead to you studying the game, and putting in the time necessary to really transform your game into a winning game.

Putting in the time to study the most basic of poker strategies is of vital importance. Yet some new players never take the time to learn them, and to properly put them into effect.

Bluffing, slow playing, variations of the games, and knowing pot odds are some good basic rules that need to be put in use effectively prior to any new players jumping into a big money cash game or tournament.

Poker has always been a game of skill, but the most skilled poker player in the world would never be a great poker player without enough experience.

A rule that every poker player should set for themselves is to establish a bank roll. This bank roll should be the only money that the new poker player will use to play poker with. No other monies outside of this fun should be used to play cards with.,

How to be a Winner at the WSOP

By PokerMan Dan

Being able to play in the WSOP may be something that you can't imagine at this point in your poker career, but it doesn't always have to be so. A great place for improving your game may lie with the study of the other players at the table. Being the best player at the table is what you should be striving for and to do that you must get inside of your opponents head and know what they are going to do before they do.

Keeping an ever watchful eye on all players at a poker table is something that is really a necessity. There is to much information that is freely given out by novice players for a great poker player not to try to pickup on. At first you may find it difficult to glean any information out of them but given time it will son become instinct and will greatly improve your game.

One tool that is never given enough credit in poker is that when it is cheap enough you should sometimes call down your opponent even if you believe that you are holding the losing hand. This information can be of great use to you if you plan on sitting at the same table with the same players for a few hours or more.

Poker playing should be considered a battle. You aren't playing poker just to play a game. You are playing poker to make money. You want to be under the radar and not bring any unwanted attention to your game.

When at a poker table be looking for players who do nothing more then check and call. When going up against these types of players you want to attack them at every chance. Do not allow then to stay in a hand cheaply and draw to the winning hand. Push them out before they can make that terrible draw, also known as sucking out. Even with a marginal hand be attacking this type of player.

By incorporating these tips into your game it should help you to become a more successful poker player. Be patient, study your opponents, and be ready to attack if the situation calls for it. To get to the WSOP one needs to study and become a true student of the game. With some hard work I know that you can get there.

8 Reasons Why Internet Poker Is More Fun

By Simon M Skinner

8. You can play in your PJs! You may be a sexy mama in a red dress but playing in your lingerie is frowned upon in Las Vegas! Playing poker online allows you to dress or loojk as you please. Being in the comfort of your own home will also help you relax and concentrate on the game.

7. You never have to leave the casino. While it is a good idea to get up for eating and sleeping breaks, there is no time obligation on online poker. You can play against real opponents any time, night or day and never have to worry about time running out. You also save money on gas, food and that fancy tuxedo rental.

6. It's your game. You call the shots and get get to decide what flavor of poker you wish to play. Most casinos only have limited versions of poker (usually the most popular versions of poker. When you play online poker you can play any flavor of poker ever devised

5. Speedy Gonzales. THe modern internet allows all programs to run faster. By playing online you play approximately 50% more hands in an hour than you would do in an online casino.

4. You are anonymous. This can be advantageous as you do not have any nervous tics or have to keep a poker face. You can actually bluff opponents easier if they cannot see you

3. You can use cyber tools and toys. Online poker lets you have as many toys and tools as you want, as you can upload hand histories, install tools for tracking an hourly rate, find out what hands are winning the most money, and even customize your own sound effects, avatars and victory dances. Try bringing electronic toys into a Vegas casino and you will probably need a lawyer.

2. It's cheaper You don't have to make the trip to an actual casino and you dont have to tip the dealer. Your online dealer is tipsy on online drinks so does not care!

1. More poker tables and more chances to play! Casinos can get busy and cobgested pretty quickly. When you play online poker there is no lines to wait for an available table. Actually you can play more than one game at a time.

Online poker gives you real gambling action and real money but in a life simulation that's just a little bit better than reality.

Online Poker a Walk Through

By PokerMan Dan

The huge surge in the popularity of online poker is generally credited to the ease of being able to play poker against people from all over the world without ever having to leave the comforts of your own home. There really are a multitude of benefits of playing poker online from home. No dress code, no travel time to and from the poker room, the rake is much less then the average brick and mortar poker room, and the list goes on and on.

Online poker rooms have little to no overhead cost, which means that they can and a lot of them do just pass the savings right on to you the player. Some of the benefits that are passed on include, great bonuses when you deposit money into a room, a great comp system, free roll tournaments, and games that are up and going 24/7. You can almost always find whatever game it is that you are wanting to play. Whether it be a large multi-table tournament, or a micro limits heads up game. It is all available for you online. Another great benefit is being able to play more then one table at a time. This is commonly referred to as multi-tabling. Basically if you are a good player and want to maximize your profits you can play in more then one game at the same time. This just is in no way possible when you are playing poker live.

Before you even consider how easy it is to get started playing poker online or the sheer amount of options that you have while playing there are still other greater benefits. The amount of hands that will be played online versus playing live is one of the best tools for new comers to learn the game and become successful in a short amount of time. They only draw back to this great benefit is that someone who has only played poker online and never played in a live game will easily become bored at a live game as the pace is much slower.

In the online poker world you need not be worried about giving away the strength or weakness of you hand by a nervous twitch, shaky voice, or sweating just a bit to much. The only thing that can give away anything in the online game is how long it takes you to make a decision on how to act when it is your turn to play, and even this is not much of anything as quite a few people play more then one table so it is not out of the norm for someone to take a long time to act.

The largest problem with the online poker game is also one of the benefits of it. Being able to easily fund and deposit money at online poker rooms. Being able to fund your poker account can also lead to big problems for the player that does not have much skill and loses a lot of money. This player will just keep losing and losing until they cannot lose anymore. Bankroll management is very key to learn for the new player so as not to lose everything to the game of poker. It is important to make sure you set limits and keep to them.

The Best Bonus Deposit Codes

By Harry Baller

The online poker, casino, and sportsbook business is staggering. The revenue is over $1 billion a month for gaming online. With the ever expanding internet, it only keeps getting bigger.

Because of this massive market monster, competition is becoming more and more competitive. These gaming giants are stopping at nothing to maintain their slice of the pie. Some amazing incentive plans have come to the surface for the players.

One gaming site offered an ownership percentage of its company via a tournament prize. That percentage could be worth millions over the years to come. Other prizes have ranged from WSOP seats to hundred thousand dollar cars.

Internet gambling sites love to know where their players come from. This helps them in a myriad of ways. Related websites are responsible for referring over half of all online gamers.

Affiliates are a vital part of internet growth. Many gaming sites compensate the affiliate and the player financially. This makes it a winning solution for everyone.

If you find a link for a gaming site, it's almost always in your best interest to use the link than go the site directly. Why is that? Because the link will get you the bonus credit, and going directly to the site may get you no bonus.

Bonuses will typically give you a 1st time cash deposit increase. If you deposit say $200, you can end up with $400 plus other perks. These perks include tournament free rolls, drawings, and unique reward points.

The ultimate goal of any gaming site is to get you to make your first deposit. Their next goal is to retain you as a player. They have other bonuses to help meet that desire as well.

Often, when you use a bonus code, they will offer you other incentives. One example is that if you go broke from your first deposit, they may offer you what is called a reload bonus on a future deposit. Reload bonuses are usually time sensitive.

You can play with the bonus system a little bit to your advantage. One way to do this, is to delay your play for a few weeks. They will most certainly contact you with an additional offer to try and get you to start playing.

A lot of sites had very few guidelines in the begining to use thier codes. Many people found ways to take advantage of them and actually cause the hous to lose money. They have fixed the loopholes, and the bonuses are still great.

Live Roulette

By Andy F

The exiting game of roulette! Most people are familiar with the red and black framed number and the little white ball that spins around the roulette wheel and decides people fate. If you have ever visited a casino and worked your way past all the one armed bandits you have most likely seen how people are attracted to this fun game of chance. You may have even experienced the excitement of a roulette wheel landing on your choice. Where did this game come from? What is it's history?

Many believe the game was invented by Blaise Pascal, although the evidence is not conclusive. The origins roulette are almost certainly from France. After all Roulette is French for "Little Wheel". Roulette was first seen in a modern casino in 1796, in Paris.

After the popular game of Roulette was adapted in America an extra number was added, the number 31. Since the European roulette wheel only has 30 numbers, compared to the American 31, your odds of winning are slightly better on the European roulette wheel.

Roulette is a staple of live casino games. It has grown in popularity since it's conception. Due to the better odds of winning, it is the most popular of casino games in Europe. Poker has increased in popularity in America, however roulette is not going anywhere soon.

For a newcomer to the game of live roulette, the first point to note is that there are two main types of bets you can try on the roulette wheel. These correspond to the layout of the wheel itself. You may place an inside roulette bet, which takes into account the arrangement of numbers which run around the inside section of the roulette wheel.

The second broad type of bet is known as an outside bet, which also brings into play the possibility of betting on whether the ball will land in red or black, for example.

These two main types of bets also have plenty of alternatives to bet on. Odd or even numbers, a group of numbers, or the likelihood that the ball will come to rest on an individual number.

You may be a little confused at first, however, after watching for a short time you will see how all the variations of roulette betting are played, and paid. Soon you will be placing bets with confidence.

The Pros of Full Tilt Poker

By PokerMan Dan

There are poker players that consider themselves pros, and there are some pros that don't need to think anything about themselves they are good enough where everyone else around them will make the decision for them. There was a time when all of the big name poker pros did not play at full tilt back in those days ultimate bet was one of the biggest online poker rooms. At this point we'll do a quick rundown of a few players.

1. Chris Ferguson. He is known by his look, and is easily recognizable. Sporting cowboy hats, black clothes, long dark beard, and long dark hair. Which has garnered him the nickname "Jesus". He is know to be one the most meticulous players on the professional tour. He is analytical and calculating and has earned himself a PhD of computer science. Computer Science requires both of the afore mentioned skills so it is obvious that those skills would carry over well into the poker world. Chris was considered a poker prodigy at the age of 10. Chris reached the final table at the 2000 World Series of Poker. He pocketed roughly $5,000,000 in winnings to date.

2. Phil Ivey. Phil Ivey has the reputation of being of the most formidable poker players in the world. He is even considered one of if not the smartest players in the world. He learned poker at a very young age at the hand of his grandfather. Where he got his poker education is very evident. His play style does not allow for jumping up and down yelling when he wins a big hand, and also does not allow for getting angry and whining when he takes a tough beat. With these characteristics and his vast poker intellect it is very easy to see why Phil is so respected and well liked in the poker world. 2005 was a great year for "The Tiger Woods of Poker", he took home 5 bracelets and was close to taking home player of the year honors. Eight million dollars is roughly what Phil Has taken home to this point, and he will surely take home quite a bit more.

3. Howard Lederer. Howard "The Professor" Lederer is known as one of if not the most brilliant poker minds today. That reputation could even be an understatement. Already having a reputation of being a world class cash game pro Howard turned to the tournament circuit full time in 2002. Since he has done that he strikes fear in the hearts of opposing players whenever they see him at the tournament tables. he can often be seen playing smaller limit games at full tilt poker teaching newer players the ins and outs of the games. "The Professor" is easily one of if not the most respect and likable players sitting at the tables in the game today.

Many of the pros can be regularly found playing games at full tilt poker. Most of them even play the lower limit games so the average player can join in and test their skills against the pros.

Have Fun And Win At Poker

By Simon M Skinner

Playing poker is a balancing act, and expert poker players are those able to balance things most effectively. Playing poker is a lot of fun, and it can be profitable. But there are some pitfalls that almost every player starting out falls into. Playing poker is not a crime. Rather than pretend online poker does not exist, as current law does now, the United States should address it in a pragmatic way and regulate it, similar to how states control lotteries.

Playing poker is a mixture of these two plus the big one ? Ask the experts and they will all tell you one thing ? Playing poker is as we said earlier a game of skill. The skill very often lies in the correct timing and the right plays at the right moment. Playing poker is an emotional rollercoaster. Often you will be dealing with winning and losing large amounts of money, which even if you are properly bankrolled, will often be difficult to handle.

Online poker can be a thrilling game. Because it is played against different competitors and not against the house, it`s as well possible for a player to gain victory at it in time.

Players usually place a small bet in the pot for starters. This goes on increasing through the duration of the game. Players will also receive a deposit bonus from our sponsored poker rooms. Players will tell you it?s okay to lie in order to deceive others in poker, only they call it ?bluffing.? If a person cannot learn to master the bluff, he will never become good at poker.

Since it is played against different competitors and not in opposition to the house, it is also possible for a player to gain victory at it in the long run.

Additionally, if you start to lose your focus on the game and other opponents, and you constantly think that everyone is bluffing, than you have been playing too long. Add to this the 24-7 availability of the free game live online poker room and the low rakes, and other facilities such as the options to play at multiple tables.

Remember the fundamental rule of poker, always leave yourself with outs, without outs you are dead. Remember, a good bluff master can get you in trouble easily. Remember you don't just get one shot. If you go broke, you can always rebuild and try again somewhere down the road.

Additionally, online poker is also full of fun and excitement. Sure, you can win a lot of money with this type of poker, but if you are not having fun what is the point?

Better yet, it gives you the chance to win a lot of money if you know what you are doing. But the one main difference between playing online poker and playing at the tables is that you do not have any interpersonal interaction. Between 5c/10c and 25c/50c you collect 1 Redback for every 2 raked hands. There is a time limit of 60 days from the day you open your first real money account for you to redeem this bonus.

4 Tricks for Poker Chips

By Thom Riemersma

Well you have reached the pinnacle of your game. You know all the ins and outs of the poker game and are ready to take on all comers. But wait something is missing, you lack the tricks of the trade to look good in front of your fellow gamers.

Now we have all seen the dashing poker players on TV. They are full of confidence play little games with their chips as they wait. Rolling, shuffling and doing the butterfly are just a few of their little tricks. This gives them the cool look in the poker games.

Looking cool is what poker is about. The people who play think a lot of themselves; they try their best to give the impression of being classy players. A common way to do this is to do a few tricks with your poker chips. Here are a few easy ones that you can easily get the hang of.

The Pullover

This little trick is like the shuffle. First stack up 6-8 poker chips, then put your hand over it. Your pointer finger and thumb should be placed on one side of the stack and the rest of your fingers on the other. Take one of the stack and set aside, then flip the other1/2 on top of the stack with a smooth and easy move. Now this will impress your friends!

The Finger Flip

Here is another trick which is simple easy and impressive. You will actually just flick a poker chip over a pile of poker chips that you have. The best way to start is with a stack of three chips.

Here is how you do it; keep a pile of 3 poker chips in one hand. Put your pointer finger and thumb in the middle and the rest of your fingers on the side of the pile. With these 3 fingers slide the rear 2 chips down and support them with your thumb, so they do not fall. Position these chips so they are as far back as you need and then, with your index finger flick the front chip to the rear. This trick needs a little finesse, so be sure to practice before you try to impress your friends.

The fun part of these little poker chip tricks is the fact that they are simple to do and you can do them over and over again. Enjoy handling your poker chips and get ready for the next step, how to annoy your gaming friends and make money doing it.

Online Poker Betting Strategy

By Gary Graymer

When it comes to no limit Texas Hold'em there are many betting strategies. When it comes to No limit verses limit play, there are many more differences in strategy. And when it comes to ring games verses multi table tournaments, the strategies should almost be the opposite.

For instance, when you have a flush draw post flop, you may almost certainly want to see the turn and river for as inexpensively as possible in a ring (single table) game. But, when you are in a multi table tournament, you will most certainly want to bet out large or even re-raise with a drawing hand.

I have had the luxury of interviewing a few of the most successful online players and would like to share what they have to say. One player whose screen name handle I will not share, is up over $700k in the last 18 months.

His advice is quite simple bet yet most people still won't have the discipline to do it. It goes something like this. This only applies to multi table tournaments. Whenever you decide to play in a hand and you are the first to act (regardless of position) you simply want to raise the blind three times.

If you have 89 of diamonds, you raise three times the blind if you decide to play the hand and are first to bet. If you have KK and are first to bet, (meaning no one else) has entered the pot yet, excluding the blinds, you only bet three times the blind.

Now, obviously if someone puts you all in you will be holding those occasional mediocre hands you might play. The ides is this. For starters, no one can put you on a specific hand. You are betting the same amount (relative to the blinds) regardless of your hand.

If you have AA and you bet three times the blind, and get raised, you can gladly call or re- raise putting the guy all in. What will happen over time is that your table perception will change. You will always bet the same amount (relative to the blinds) and some people will catch on to that.

They will try to push you off of hands and when they run up against your monster, you have them right where you want them. Also, you must almost always follow up with a continuation bet. Be prepared to walk away from hands that don't hit the flop well for you. Occasionally you can bluff your way out of the hand as well.

This may sound simple, or to some, even ludicrous, but this strategy works. Stay tuned for more articles on this subject. Keep practicing and you can become a profitable player.

Winning Poker Strategy

By PokerMan Dan

There are many different ways to look at poker strategy. You can look at it as a tactic, an approach, a policy, or even a plan. The main goal behind creating a winning poker strategy is to make the most out of winning hands and keep your losses to a minimum when you have the losing hand. No one strategy is right for all players. Each player has their own weaknesses and strengths. One's strategy needs to be formulated around said strengths and weaknesses. What works for you probably will not work for another poker player and vice a versa.

Folding when you know you have the weakest hand regardless of how much money is in the pot is a strategy that is of paramount importance. Most new players are under the belief that if they have a lot of money invested in the pot even though they hold bad cards that they must continue to play the hand. All this is doing is setting them up for losses and frustrations.

Also being able to bet more when holding two weak cards in Texas hold'em is a strategy that at some point in your poker playing career you must learn to employ properly. While this strategy is great for keeping other players on their toes when playing against you, you must not lean on this poker strategy to often as it will give people the idea that you are a weak player and in turn they will become far more aggressive when playing against you.

To become a world class poker player you must learn to employ every trick and tool in your poker arsenal. This can take years for someone to completely master. Sometimes even the best hand can lose when not played properly and no amount of analyzing and contemplating will be able to fix it once the improper play has been played. That is why it is so important to come up with a long term poker strategy that suits your game and will make you a winner over the long haul.

Don't get to anxious to become a poker legend. It will not happen over night. You need to keep your head on straight and keep your eyes on the prize. Don't get to discouraged over even to over excited. Just stay even keeled, employ winning poker strategies at all times, and most of all stay within the limits of your bank roll. Poker is gambling and there is no such thing as a sure bet.

Random Gambling Ramblings

By Simon M Skinner

Gambling online is illegal in some countries therefore, an editor living in a country where it's prohibited should not edit in this category. For example, no online gaming company is allowed to accept online wagers in Canada except if the company belongs to Native American (Indians).

Gambling online is a whole different kettle of fish - it's anonymous, you're not made to feel stupid because you don't understand how an each way bet works and it's convenient. The two biggest potential growth markets are the middle classes and women.

Players in the United States can find many gambling websites to bet onlineonline. While gambling online from the United States was easier 18 months ago, many online gambling sites continue to accept US-based real-money players.

Gambling online is free except for the wager itself. And there are no travel costs like there would be to go to Las

Gambling online is definitely like the real thing. However, here, instead of you walking around for the right game to play whether if it is pokers or slot machines, all you need to do is type or click the game you want to play.

Gambling online is definitely illegal in some states, but the Crime Control Act of 1970 does not apply to players.

In addition, since the Crime Control Act does not refer to foreign commerce, it is hard to see how a case could be made that it applies to Internet gaming across multiple international borders.

Taking Advantage Of Online Gaming

By Ron Hayser

Winning big is the obvious goal of any gambler, whether online or in a brick and mortar casino. However, this can be difficult to do, especially if you're new to gambling. This is particularly applicable with online gambling. There are a number of ways you can win big. Real poker stars haven't rigged the games to make their winnings; they play smart. Pokerstars that hack their way to the top rarely stay there for very long.

Learning the tips and tricks used by the top poker stars will let you increase your winnings. For instance, pokerstars reload their winnings back into their online accounts, increasing the money that they have to gamble with, without actually having to pay any more out of pocket.

Poker stars with rigged plans are usually short lived in online gambling. What many people think of as a pokerstars hack is, in truth, simply a smart plan combined with observation and intuition. The top pokerstars reload their winnings, but their strategy goes deeper than that. They understand that patters present with online gambling and use those patterns to their benefit. Why are there patterns in something that is supposed to be random? That's an excellent question. These patterns are present because the game is controlled by an algorithm. Much like the algorithms governing how search engines operate, these mathematical formulas guide and facilitated a poker game, online blackjack and everything else.

Poker stars with rigged games are actually using these algorithms to their advantage. Rather than being a pokerstars hack, this is a carefully calculated plan, designed to take advantage of the patterns and rhythms found in these formulas. Tracking these patterns is the best way to gamble online. While in real life, there are certain patterns and tells that can be present in games, the same is true of online gambling. There are several ways in which you can learn these patterns and use them the same way that pokerstars do to reload their accounts. A quick search online will give you a couple of prominent titles that can be of great use in this.

Any mathematical formula, no matter how complex, will result in patterns. Understanding these patterns, anticipating their spacing and then using them immediately is the way to begin to play like the high rollers. With a little savvy, smart use of reloading offers as well as account incentives that add free cash to your account, you can increase the amount of your winnings, boost up the amount of money in your gambling account and become a gambling sensation. Another tip is diversity; don't sink all of your money into one game, or even one gambling website. The more websites you use, the more algorithms you can put to use for you.

The climate of online gambling

By Steve Briggs

The climate of online gambling seems to have settled down a little bit in comparison to recent times. New laws passed in the states making it illegal for banking facilities to knowingly allow a citizen to fund an online casino or gambling establishment of any kind (save the horse races and lotteries located in the states), had many online casinos in an uproar because they were faced with some very hard decisions.

Some online casinos made the decision to stay out of the U.S. market. Others chose to not recognize any law as making it illegal in the states to gamble online (specifically) and continue to accept players located in the states. And of course there are those online casinos that don't recognize another country's attempting to force their laws on a business that is located half way around the world.

While this may sound like chaos it has at least settled down to casinos in one of the above categories. Just a short time ago such mega-gambling entities such as Party Poker and its affiliated online casinos were making the adjustment to not allowing players from the states while curiously at the same time such places (*not necessarily Party Poker in this instance) were forwarding potential players to online gambling establishments that were accepting players from the states. It is unknown to this writer whether any monetary exchange for this forwarding ever happened but I would strongly guess yes as to that answer.

Online casinos seem to have settled a bit also in the banking area of their industry. During all the hectic times mentioned above there was also a change in banking facilities and the regions they chose to operate. This was a cause of great concern to many players which definitely hurt online gambling and remains a black eye to this day because one of the facilities, Neteller, froze accounts to those located in the states and effectively suffocated much of the confidence that had been gained by the online gambling world. New eWallets have since sprang up and taken the place of Neteller but only now are things seemingly settled enough to be able to declare a definitive banking facility can be counted on from month to month. To find the one most suited for your needs contact casino support and ask them for your best solution.

So now with much of that turmoil behind them, online casinos are proceeding ahead towards their chosen targeted markets but the fall-out still lingers in the way of hesitant players and those that have declared "never again". All players are not so quick to condemn however and with the UK opening its arms to online gambling, credibility has been reborn and with it the players will start to return and with them will come those new to online gambling and they will enjoy an environment much improved over the frontier days of the internet and online gambling.

Popularity of Video Poker

By Steve Briggs

Video poker seems to have a following of its own who would choose not to gamble if they couldn't do it playing their favorite version of video poker. However unlike many other forms of gambling, video poker seems to be a second favorite for most people. So a considerable percentage of gamblers at some time in their gambling sessions usually visit a video poker game for a while. The reason for this is that video poker has such a high payback. You can play video poker for a very long time and not spend near the money that one can go through when playing slot machines or some other game with a high house edge which is most of them in comparison to the video poker returns.

Another great thing about video poker hovers around the previous paragraph's subject which is the fact you can play so long on the same money that it allows you to stay alive for such extended periods that you are always in the realm of possibility of hitting that ever-elusive royal flush jackpot which pays by almost anybody's standards a very nice return. In other words you can spend very little to win a lot and have much better odds of that happening than choosing to play the slots and seek the same end result.

Its true that to some video poker is not as exciting as the slot machines but in the same breath it can also be said that slot machines offer no challenge where as there are definite strategies for video poker. Each version of video poker has its own best strategy. It is wise to find one version of video poker and learn the strategy for it until you know it without needing any reminder.

Trust the strategies given for each respective version of video poker. Here is a great example of why you should trust the strategies. Years ago I was playing a video poker machine and was winning a little bit so I upped my credit values to a five dollar per credit machine and of course played maximum bet (as you should almost always do when playing video poker because the difference in jackpot payouts is considerable) and I was dealt a ten, jack, queen king and eight of clubs. The payout for a flush on a five dollar per credit machine with max credits bet was very considerable. I was very tempted to hold all five cards and keep the money which I feel again bears noting was considerable. Instead I begrudgingly held all but the eight and as I hit the deal button I fully expected to see my flush disappear and with it my nice chunk of money. I was instead rewarded with an ace of clubs for a royal flush jackpot.

I have since then hit two more royal flush jackpots but none at that level of credit value. I played for years and years before ever seeing my first one and then saw three in about two years time. So they do happen for those still waiting their first time.

Casinos: making the change to online gaming (part 3)

By Steve Briggs

When support has been contacted and you don't hear back from them right away ... there is no need to panic (as often is the case by online players, they don't seem to understand the casinos deal with thousands of people a day and even with the best of circumstances there are going to be delays at times) but the casinos are to blame in this writer's opinion whenever players become anxious because for some reason they have not yet "got it" that people are skeptic about online play in the first place and they are overly quick to assume that just because they didn't get an instant reply from the casino support that they are going to be cheated out of their money. A simple email sent out twice a day (even an automated email) stating the casino has not forgotten you have an issue and that it will be investigated in the order in came in and that the course of the investigation could take an extended period but the casino will stay in contact throughout the investigative process.

In eight years experience of being an online gambling guide I can honestly say I have seen more small obstacles become account-closing monsters because the player became anxious about not hearing back from support. So they wrote a nasty letter accusing the casino from everything from cheating to theft, along with a lot of descriptive suggestions I will not mention here.

As soon as any profanity becomes involved the support agents immediately dismiss any further dealings with that player: and their issue is never investigated further or reported to anyone. Online casinos have almost blanketed across the board taken a stance that they will not endure profanity or abuse from players. As long as you stay courteous in your correspondence you have leverage to find recourse through reputable online gambling guides and casino portals and it is this writer's suggested advice that players heed what i have just stated.

Those who play the slot machines or video poker should find the games almost exactly as they are accustomed though in wider variety and more themes. The table and card players may find themselves questioning the games if they hit a sour run their first times out but the game odds will truly mimic those of their land-based cousins. Black Jack players may be the exception to that rule when they see how many game versions that are available at online casinos.

The convenience of being able to play from home and not have to drive through frustrating traffic, wait in line to play your favorite game, wait on card shuffles, bets to be placed or chips to be purchased: may also be a change the player will have to become accustomed. (end part 3 of 3)
